OUR MISSION

Our shelter’s mission is to balance the needs of people and animals as we: Provide humane shelter, treatment and placement of animals, and enhance and preserve the human-animal bond through education, outreach, adoptions and cruelty prevention.

The Foster Care Program at Aurora Animal Shelter is dedicated to providing personalized care and socialization to animals in need, ensuring they are ready for their forever homes. Through this program, animals receive crucial support and medical treatment while also getting a reprieve from the shelter environment. The valuable insights gathered during the foster period also enable us to match these animals with families that align with their specific requirements, setting them up for successful adoptions in their forever homes.
